Tournament - Competition

 

Tournaments are hosted and organized by local clubs, organized regions (USJF Yudanshakai’s) and national organizations.

 

Tournament day

 A typical tournament day begins with registration and weigh-ins. Registrations are often held in the morning before the tournament, usually from 8:00 am to 10:00 am. Some events require pre-registration by mail several weeks prior to the tournament. Usually there is a small fee required to enter the tournament.

 

You must belong to one of the three National Judo Organizations, United States Judo Federation, United States Judo Association or United States Judo Inc.  During the walk up registration process, you will be required to show your National membership card.

 

Tournament entryforms are usually sent a few weeks prior to the competition date.
